Can I try out the SMS add-on before I purchase an SMS package?

Yes! We offer a no-risk trial of our SMS add-on. To get that set up for you, write to support@libraryh3lp.com. Please include the following bits of information with your request.

  1. The queue on which you'd like us to attach texting. We usually recommend creating a separate queue for SMS. It is a good way to give your librarians an extra indicator that a chat is coming via text message.
  2. The preferred area code for your SMS number. We offer numbers in the US, Canada, most European countries, Australia, and more. Due to limited availability, our provider does not have any numbers available for Hawaii or Alaska area codes.
  3. Optional. A customized 140 character or less auto-response that patrons receive when your queue is offline. The default response is, "We're currently offline. Please try again later."
  4. Optional. A phone number to which we can forward voice calls placed to your SMS number.

If you decide to subscribe to the service we will recover the small accumulated balance from your first SMS add-on package purchase.  Otherwise, we release the SMS number back to our provider and forget about any balance.  If you would like to know more about how SMS add-on package pricing works, we have an overview that explains it in detail.
